  1. Why do I get a "Failed Delivery" message?

When you get mail from a "MAILER-DAEMON" or a "Mail Delivery Subsystem" with a subject similar to "Failed Delivery," this means that a message that you sent was undeliverable and has been "bounced" back to you. These messages are produced automatically and usually include a reason for the delivery failure.

Bounced messages normally consist of two parts. The first contains the reason for the bounce; the second contains your original message.

The most common reason for a failed delivery is that the email address you entered isn't valid. If the Mailer Daemon says that the account doesn't exist, double-check the spelling of the address you entered. A single misplaced letter can be enough to cause a failed delivery. If the message continues to bounce back to you, you should verify that the account hasn't been closed or moved.

If there's a different reason given and you would like us to investigate it, please let us know. If you can copy and paste the reason given for the failed delivery into the message you send us, it will be very helpful as we attempt to determine why your message bounced.

  2. sometimes it says that too. its saying that the email address isn't there. contact yahoo?

  3. Usually if the e mail address isn't typed correctly, (like using all small case letters), it cannot be sent. When you get notice of undeliverable mail, there should also be a notation as to why it is undeliverable. If everthing checks out ok, then it might be a problem at the e mail server's end.

  4. Maybe that persons inbox is full or u are typing the wrong email address or the persons email has expired

  5. Maybe the email address is not correct.

  6. There is normally more information in the message that you get back, like recipient not recognised.

Although, if you are replying to an email it is more likely that content has been blocked by the recipients mail server or their mail box is full or something.
