Why can't I send photos with Picasa?

I have never had any trouble sending photos with Picasa and I am not doing anything differently than I have in the past. But....everytime I am ready to send the photos from Picasa, it highlights "discard" on the bottom, instead of "send." I have tried countless times. I am not sending too many, just 11, as I ordinarily do...and it also says "discard" from just 2 or 3. Hope someone can help. I also tried Picasa "help" but so far no response. Thank you.

It requires 2 things. First in Picasa go to tools > options > e-mail and select "windows mail".

Second....

Clicking on mail links on web sites or programs will transfer control to your default email application (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc). In order to use Yahoo Mail as the default email application you must install Yahoo Messenger.  It then allows the Messenger program to be the interface to Yahoo Mail. You must then go to internet options and select it as the default.

Note that Picasa will allow Gmail to be set as a default with no special add-ons.
