When I try it just tells me flat that the server isn't found and I've tried over several days... this has always been one of the most problematic parts of the Yahoo system - if you bounce a couple of messages you can be out of the group for good - not at all sensible IMHO

Here is the error message - this is extremely annoying and Yahoo should have detected that something is wrong otherwuise everybody will eventually leave Yahoo

Could not connect to remote server

  1. just because you bounce doesn't mean you're out of a group for good, unless it's that particular group owner. yahoo has only once removed long standing bouncing members as part of their clean-up. a bouncing member can remaina meber of any group for years.

if it's a different mail provider than yahoo, you'll need to contact them- many ISP's black list on accident or on purpose.

if it's yahoo mail, you need to send the help form from there

  2. You have to replace localhost:8080 with groups.yahoo.com

I also have had this problem for some days till i tried to replace localhost
