Why can't I use a song I downloaded in a presentation? It keeps stopping me because of a license.?

  1. If you downloaded it from limewire, kazaa etc (aka illegally) it wont necessarily work. What you have to do is bring it into ITunes which will convert it and then it should work. I had to do this for a presentation once.

It sounds like the Digital Rights Management is a problem for you.  When you buy a song the song needs to be burned to a CD to work perfectly.  What you might try doing is burning the song to a CD and then verify that it works.  If it works, put the CD in a your computer and rip the song to your computer (iTunes does this well or try Windows Media Player).  That song ripped from the CD shouldn't contain any of the DRM restrictions.
