A simple question, why does google and most other "interactive maps" websites, not let you view the arctic or the whole antarctica? They don't even let you zoom in a lil.I just wana see the effects of so called "global warming",more like global poisoning.

  1. Even if they took a picture of Antarctica, there wouldn't be anything to see. You wouldn't be able to see global warming, global warming isn't something you can take a birds eye picture of. Not to mention how much it would cost to take a picture, usually pictures are taken from satellites over populated places because there is something to look at. Over Antarctica, there is nothing, just snow and ice and rock and sea.

If you're expecting to see a picture of ice burgs breaking away from the ice sheet or penguins being poisoned by toxic waste, don't go to google maps. Despite what you hear on the news, the Antarctic is still very much a pristine environment.

  2. A satellite image would require the wasting of a satellite over the ice caps to take the pictures.  The only reason arctic images were taken was for Cold War spy purposes, and I don't think those images are readily available.
