Question:

Why can't I view photos posted in my Groups that others can see?

I am an AOL user and am not able to view pics that other members have posted within their posts to the group. Others in the group comment on them, so I know that they're there! For me...it will just say "image203.jpg and then "image not stored". If there is a link for photobucket or another host, I'm able to view those, but that's it. I'm on digest for my groups so thought maybe it was that, but even logging into the group directly doesn't allow me to see them. I usually am just going thru AOL's browser, but I do have Firefox AND Internet Explorer browsers that I could use, if that's the answer to my problem. Please help!

Thanks in advance! Terri

  1. When photos are sent via email to a group, Yahoo automatically strips the photos and they are not shown on the group site.  But, all members who have their email delivery set for Individual Emails do see the photos when they receive the messages via email.  Change your email delivery for that group to Individual Emails.  Messages will be delivered one at a time to your email inbox and you will be able to see the pictures in messages.  This is how to do that:

    Sign in to your group.

Toward the top of the screen, click on Edit Membership.

Scroll down to Step 2. Message Delivery.

Click one time in the blank circle in front of Individual Emails

Click on Save Changes located at bottom of page.

  2. only those on individual mail will see those photo's- has nothing to do with AOL. digest mail setting and the group archives do not stores those.
