I recorded a program on DVD for my father. When I took it to his house to watch, it wouldn't play in his DVD player. We both have DVD players that record and I bought the DVD disc that you are able to record on. I played it back on my DVD player and it worked fine. What am I doing wrong?

  1. Two reasons I can think of-

First- did you finalize the DVD after you finished recording? You have to finalize them before they will work on any other DVD player. It should be under the menu choices.

Second- not all DVD players will play +R and -R disks, some will only play one or the other.

Chances are- it's the first. I've done it before! :-)
