I want to wear a high ponytail, but it hurts.

I put it up and after a few minutes of doing so, it cause my head/scalp to hurt, and continues to do so long after I take it down.

Why does it hurt and how can I wear a high ponytail without the pain?

Thank you.

  1. Try not putting to tight like pinky said and make sure you have your hair brushed out pretty good.

Also make sure the hairband is not pulling any specific hairs.

One more thing, you might have to get your hair adjusted to it if you dont put your hair like that very often.

  2. some people just cant.  my hair is heavy and i have to be very careful how i wear mine.

  3. dont make it so tight

  4. i have the same exact problem!!!!!! idk why though. i just clip it half way now. it sucks i wish i can put my hair in a high ponytail.

  5. i wear my hair like this alot, and i used to have this problem ALL the time. try not tying it back so tight.

  6. i have the same problem.

    idk what to do. :/

  7. Your hair naturally grows down so pulling it up is bound to hurt.  I'd put it up and leave it as long as you can stand it and increase the length of time every time.
