What makes you think they dont? Well the ones that don't sell are, in most towns, it reduces their overhead.

It would raise the price for the newspapers we buy. Plus, they'd have to invest in recycling equipment and what not and it's prob. not worth it. Might as well keep those in business who already recycle. You can shred the paper at home and put into compost. Wrap presents adding a pretty bow. Stuff boxes to be mailed, line the floor when painting, read it, line bird cage. Many uses.
