Why can't x*x and TTT be used as radio callsigns?

ok i suppose x*x sounds like mayday-mayday-mayday, but what about ttt?

  1. Verbally, the letters x*x and TTT sound like other words.

    s*x & t*t. Not something broadcastable.

  3. you are right they cant im not sure why

    i think it is because they are used by search and rescue aircraft

    you cant use PAN as  callsign ether
