Why can't a prison be designed in UK that makes it impossible to smuggle in drugs etc?

Why don't they just have visiting areas with glass screens that separate prisoner from visitor, ike they have in US.

It's not difficult. If they wanted to solve drugs in prisons hey could do. Where there's a will there's a way. There doesn't seem to be a will though.

  1. Until they get rid of the a**s and r****m (place where most drugs are smuggled), drugs will always find their way into jail. If not that way they get slung over the wall (closed jail) In a prison officer's uniform! (Yes there are some bent screws around!) There are a good number of ways they come in and not always through the visitors!

  2. There must be some reason or else they would be doin it eh?

  3. Prisons are a great machine for creating heroine addicts.

    In turn Methadone addicts.

  4. There are still drugs in US prisons.  It is virtually impossible to rid prisons entirely of drugs.

  5. at least a little drugs need to be smuggled in the jails so that the prisoners wont go crazy and have mass suicides === just my thought

  6. alot of guards know who the dealer is and who they get it from, but its easyer for them to deal with doped up prisoners than ones going cold turkey.

dont bring back hanging, killing people is Wrong, no matter the circumstances, look it up in ANY religious reading.

  7. Even with glass screens on visits you still have prisoners going out to court for the day, and other opportunities.  You can't really turn prison into a vacuum.

I think prisons put up with it because it sedates the prisoners.

  8. Ah come on, how would the warden and guards make extra money then.

  9. they could do that in a maximum security prison, but it would violate some of the prisoners rites that they have now been given if they totally isolated the prison. it's not only drugs that are smuggled in, people also smuggle in mobile phones, knives, guns, diffrent kinds of weapons and things. what ever you want it can be smuggled if you have enough money.

mostly the stuff is either thrown over a fence, or taken in by a guard, but there are always ways to get things in. since there is so much money involved, it will never stop.

  10. Its called the "Human Rights Act"

scrotes  complain they only get 3 meals a day, television, recreation, fresh linen, laundered clothes ... etc etc

and visitors to bring in their supplies!!

Should be locked in their cell for 23 hours a day

    No Tv

No forms of entertainment at all

    basic food

Then they'd think twice about doin the crime!

    .... oh yeah.....

Bring back hanging while we're at it!

  11. the guards are susceptible to bribery.

  12. Because, like you said, there will always be a way.... bribe a prison officer perhaps?
