Why can't all political parties wear American hats all of the time?

Because they look ridiculous.

They're supposed to be some sort of symbol of patriotism but whenever I see them, I assume that they're intended to be amusing.

We all wear our American hats all the time.  It is just that every four years the parties take it upon themselves to define or redefine what that looks like.

Because this is the land of the free. sure, they do represent our country, but it is up to them to wear them. would u wear them. i would be quiet embaressed.
