  1. Happiness and bliss are two different things.

I am generally happy the majority of the time, if I am not happy it is because I have allowed (chosen) my focus to change.

  2. I think you need to be happy with yourself first.  Then, this happiness you're talking about will come forth.  Bandaids only mask what your heart is feeling.  Take care!

  3. I have been happy (: truly happy. My family and I, all together, on vacation in Cuba. That was the one week of my life where i can truly say that i was truly happy. Not a care in the world. (:

  4. Because man is ungrateful.

"When man has hot, he wants cold.

When man has cold, he wants hot.

Always wanting what is not." (anonymous)

  5. Aristotle basically gave a simple answer: we can't control everything around us. Sometimes we are demanded to work. Sometimes our kids need much of us. Sometimes nature takes things away from us (like hurricane Katrina). We can never have enough time to our selves to do what our natures demand of us, which for Aristotle was living the contemplative life. Further, we need specific things to perfect our nature (like health, beauty, virtue, knowledge, etc.). Again, we never seem to have enough time to acquire these things since something (like the things listed above) obstruct us from spending the time necessary to acquire those things that perfect our nature. Still, the Christian answer would be that we live in a fallen, imperfect world (obviously) and we have something (sin) that diseases our natures.

  6. great question brother

it is true no man can be happy completely in his or her life, till there is human life, there will be always misery and pain and happiness also

aacording to carvaka school of indian philosophym which is atheist belive that we had to maximize the pleasure and should minimize the pain

but i belive that misery and pain is also necessary in this world because of the following reasons

1 if there will be no foolish humans in this world what will be the value of the intelligent, there will be no differnece,so foolish humans had also importance.

2 if there will be no ugly things in this world what will the importnace of beauty, there will be no difference

3 in the same way if there will be no misery and pain in life what will be significance of happines will left,so misery and pain is also necessary

according to upnishads two type of persons alwas remain happy

1 brahma gayani( the person who had supreme knowledge like krisha and buddha.

2 mahamurkha( greatest foolish) because of his ignorance

we are neither brahmagayani nor mahamurkh so we remain both happy and also get misery

indian philosophy is pessimistic meanss it bega with intial pessism and see this world as place of misery but its end is optisam,it give solution to problems of human life and how we can live our life to the best.

this question also strike buddha mind when he also see misery at all the places, than he give solution to all the problems.

we cant live happy because of the following reasons

1 desires, they have no end we had to satisy at certain stage

2 attachment is biggest cause of pain,so dont get attach with anything in excess

3 physical and mental diseases,we should perform yoga to remove all the diseases.

4 ego it is also cause of many unhappiness,so we should crush our ego not self respect.

5 too much honesty, the person who are too much honest also live unhappy,so we should be clever in life also

moeny cannot buy happiness when we see world richest person they always remain in tension and misery so happiness is subjective a poor person by wealth can also live happy.

god bless you and give you strenght power and beauty

  7. Happiness and Peace is the sole property of every individual. This cannot be snatched away from us. We have all come from happiness (bliss) and peace and we are definitely marching towards that same destination that is happiness and peace.

In between we make ourselves miserable. Life is simple as such. We poor earthlings make our life complicated. We cannot blame anybody for this predicament.

There are three stages for happiness. In the first stage, we ourselves should know what type of object we should desire. In the second stage, we should acquire the skill to acquire that object. In the third stage, we should know how to experience that object.

  8. Because we are incapable of being purely happy.

It is part of the human condition.

Because of original sin we suffer

  9. Perhaps it is due to the fact that complete bliss would leave nothing else to live for....... perhaps we deliberately create a gap from the state of complete bliss in order to provide space for 'living'.

  10. There is only joy in God, in Jesus Christ.  God alone can fulfill the depths of our heart.  No one and no thing can enter our hearts and give us peace.  Only God thru the Holy Spirit can do that.

  11. It's because we always watch what our school mates, neighbours, relatives, friends and celebrities have, and how they seem to enjoy life.

The rat-race, pursuit of materialism and the unforgiving media, I think, make it all the worse. The result? Strained family relationships, teenage excesses, obesity, disrupted schooling, crimes, early marriages, divorces, stress, depression, rehabs, suicides, etc.

But it is strange that some societies, like Bhutan, in 3rd World have contented, friendly, uncorrupted and hospitable people. Maybe for a change, if life is too stressful, we should live for a while in other countries where simplicity  is the norm.

  12. Why u want to be truly happy. If u r truly happy in your whole life then you wont njoy it well,as u dont know what is hurt pain and sorrow.Note that happiness is state of mind that will disappear with in time but if u take bliss it wont leave until u die.Well take life as it comes and mostly dont expect anything in advance.Good luck.

  13. ...true happiness is fleeting, enjoyed in the moment thanks for asking...

  14. Oh, if only each on of us will be satisfied with the blessings GOD have given us, there's no need to feel sad.  But then, we cannot blame them for there is "FEAR" in their subconscious minds....  Fear of acceptance, fear of rejection, fear of loneliness and fear of being alone.

Always remember that there's no need for us to fear for we always walk with GOD and HE is our light and guide.

Take care and GOD BLESS ALL OF US.

  15. Because even at the moment of happiness, one must be envying someone for something.

  16. Go and live in some obscure country you've never heard of, in Africa or Asia. You'll go home truly happy just to have running water.

  17. i think its that we arent satisfied with wat we have , perhaps we can have it all and yet always think about wat else we dont have
