Do they not understand the evidence or do they not look at the evidence?

  1. "Your brain lies too you" we chose to accept the information that only supports our views. It's scary, true, and stanford tested it.

  2. Look up the concept of Morton's Demon - a psychological phenomenon defined by a former creationist. It describes how these people simply can't recognise any evidence that runs contrary to their beliefs.

  3. God (The Universe) created Evolution...

Now that I've cleared things up, lets all get along in peace!

  4. We need to get up to speed on our science.

Scientists now tell us we're 40% banana.

Never mind evolving from apes, we should now be looking at the case for saying we may have evolved from fruit trees.

  5. Only a minority of creationists are 'young earth' creationists.

Most creationists see the Intelligent Design (ID) model (which includes aspects of evolution and an ancient earth) as superior to the purely evolutionary model, as it answers many questions that evolution does not (for example, ID provides an explanation for the Big Bang, the origins of life, the Cambrian explosion, evolutionary convergence, etc).

  6. They may understand it, they just don't like it. They'd prefer to believe in a 2000 year old book instead.

  7. I don't think they want evidence

  8. They don't want to understand because they already KNOW the truth.

  9. I think they actually do understand the evidence. This is why they have concocted silly pseudo-science arguments to counter science.

  10. i honestly think they havnt properly studied evolution!

this is proven by some of the dumbass questions asked on here by them.

they have no idea of the over-whelming amount of evidence so support evolution!

To the people who believe the earthh is only 6000years old...i pity you

  11. Show me some evidence that has had some thought to it.

Show me dates calculated using verifiable methods.  If it is based on radioactive decay, show me the proof that the calculation of the decay rate is accurate enough to be used for dating.  Just saying that Uranium 235 has a half life of 700 million years is not enough.  Prove it.  No assumptions, no guesswork, just good, solid proof.

Show me evidence of evolution in contemporary complex creatures.  Not peppered moths or fruit flies, those experiments show mutations, not evolution.

Show me the genetic relationship between species along an evolutionary path, not a join-the-dots of species that just look similar.  Prove that they are genuinely related.

Explain how exclusive symbiosis can evolve.  How two separate and distinct species can evolve to a point where neither can exist without the other.

Don't even get me started in the rate of decay of earth's magnetic field, or the salinity levels of the ocean.

And how do chemicals suddenly become life?  Or do you think that life on earth came from outer space?

ADDITIONAL:-  OK, no one has put up a counter case.  So, I'll throw in a few more.

Chromosome count - how is it that this varies so much, even in between species that are supposed to be related?

Blood Chemistry - there are three similar substances.  The first is Haemoglobin, the iron based substance in our blood.  Certain other creatures (e.g., king crab) have a similar substance based on copper (Hemocyanin).  Plants have another one based on magnesium (Leghemoglobin).  Why is there so much similarity in these?  How could they come from a common source?

Mitochondrial DNA - analysis shows that all mankind is descended from a single human individual.    How could we,  then, have descended from another species?

  12. They don't want to understand, they have the same brains as everyone else, they are just as capable of understanding, so they must be being wilfully obtuse for the sake of ignoring the true picture, which to me is about the most pointless thing anyone can do with the excellent brains us humans have ended up with:)

  13. have u ever conisdered God is real andanyone who thinks otherwise just has lower brain capacity

  14. their brains have been trained from an early age to believe in an imaginary friend so strongly that when logic is presented to them, they just cannot digest it. My advice to them would be to keep an open mind, learn something new and after being presented with logic, train your brain to think differently. The brain is no different than any other muscle in your body. If you are overweight and want to lose some pounds, you train those muscles to become active right? Same thing with the human brain. Train it to think logically and the need for imaginary beings and fairy tales being to fade away

  15. We do, we just disagree with the conclusions drawn by evolutionists. Way Cyber had a good answer. Some other things to consider:

    para-conformities

    polystratic fossils

    fossil evidence in general

So far, evolution (transspeciation) doesn't hold up to the evidence.

  16. They've never looked at it. How can you understand something you've never looked at?

  17. They don't WANT to understand because they are too emotionally vested in their fairy tales.  Add to that the ease of "Goddidit" versus actually having to hit the books, learning, studying, etc...

  18. And why can't people who "believe" in evolution see that the theory is fundamentally flawed and there is no evidence to support the theory.  Evolution works very well on some levels and not at all on others.  For many years scientists have been looking for the missing link which clearly does not exist - especially now that we have evidence that cro magna man and neanderthal man co-existed.  Yes, you can observe evolution in a lab using bacteria but human beings are not bacteria.  There is no evidence at all to support the theory as it is applied to human beings.  I am not a creationist and am not religious at all.  Believing in evolution is the same as believing in religion.  Evolution is a possibility up there with all the other possibilities but the only truth is that we don't know.  Evolution theory really is theory and was based on Darwin's observations and ideas nothing else.  It does not explain how we came to be here.  I am totally able to understand (very well thank you) and am au fait with the evidence presented - its just not a convincing argument.
