Why can't i attach videos in an email?

i'm trying to send a 16mb video through email, but when i try and attach a video, nothing happens? and i am doing it right because i send pics and music this way...why wont it let me send!!??

  1. Because the file is too big. Most ISPs have a limit on mail size, usually about 10MB.


  2. Wait for the file to load. check the speed of the connection and judge appropriately for the speed of uploading. try using an email client which shows percentage upload every second...check the total size of the attachment allowed by the email client...cause few allow only 10mb per file...

  3. How much is the maximum allowed attachment size fo your email service? Also 16 MB file will take some time to be attached. If you think that its just because you have a Video file, try attaching a 15 MB ZIP file, even that will bore you to death;-)

    A much better option (In case your email service provider has restrictions on attachment size) would be to upload the file on Rapidshare.com or yousendit.com & send the other person the link for download.

  4. a video takes up to much space it cannot be handled by a service provider. you would need to post it by uploading to a web site.i have had that problem with pictures also, on pictures you need to copy and paste to the e- mail if sent as an attachment it won't go through.
