  1. :o why did you even want it in the first place.

  2. The piercer said that either because they didn't know any better, or because they felt like lying to you. Who knows which.

Educated piercers have reasons for why they choose to pierce with the jewelry they use. Some piercers prefer a ring because it allows for swelling easily, is less likely to irritate gums, and can easily be cleaned. Other piercers prefer studs because they are subject to less movement and therefore irritate the piercing less, are less likely to be played with or touched, and are less likely to drag lymph crust into the piercing.

Each style of jewelry has it's own benefits and drawbacks, so the end choice comes down to which style the wearer and the piercer can agree on. After all, it does the piercer no good to put in the style they like best if the wearer is just going to change it too early to something else and irritate the piercing.

Lip piercings can be performed so that you can wear either a labret stud or a hoop. Find a piercer who is educated enough to perform your piercing correctly and go over jewelry choices with you so you can choose the one that suits your needs.

  3. Maybe it's thinner than a bar?

  4. don't pierce your lip.

It looks stupid - and it's unhealthy.

  5. well the piercer is a douche bag thats why you can change it but you have to wait the 12 weeks i takes to get healed and fyi not trying to be rude but its a labret (lah bray) im a piercing nut and oye people have fun with that

just be sure to get a labret and not a bar becuase if you get a bar you will have no gums left where your piercing is the labret is flat on the inside so it doesnt irritate your gums and your lips

  6. Because it'll look EVEN UGLIER than it does already.

  7. if you have a ring then the tissue in your lip will heal differently into a curved shape. get it pierced with a bar, wait til its healed and then put a ring in.
