Why can't i change users names and passwords without deletion?

My wife and I share this computer and I would like to start using yahoo messenger without deleting her e-mail and password so i can use my e-mail and password. Why can't it be like msm messinger where a window drops down where you can have more than one using the im messinger

Yahoo only allows 1 account to be signed in so you will have to remove your wife's ID and password in order to sign in yourself. You can get trillion from downlaod.com and have both your ID and her ID signed in at the same time.
