Why can't i do what i want to do?

i want to quit law school. i want to work. i want to be myself. i want to do things my way. but hot? i don't want to frustrate my parents. i love them and they are so proud of me and expecting a lot from me. help me please. i can't bear it anymore!

sit them down and have a chat with them. tell them that you love them and value their opinions and what they think of you. but also explain that you have to live your own life and that you are just not happy with studying law.

once you find your niche, you will be happy and then excel because you are happy. then they'll *really* be proud of you! your parents can't live their life through you. it's yours to live so you are the one who needs to make the decisions, not them. do it for yourself!

Tell them you need a years break.  I had to do that.  Best thing I ever did because it helped me realize...Law was not for me.  My year turned into two years but it was well worth it.
