Why can't i find myself in yahoo member directory?

The member directory is optional. Do the following to be listed.

Select "My Account" at the top of this page.

Select "Edit/Create" profiles.

Select "Edit" next to the Yahoo ID.

Select "Edit Profile Information".

Fill in page and at bottom check "directory listing".

sign in to messenger then click on <my profile> then <edit my profile> through your default profile enable an option to show your id in members directory.
