For over a month now, I have been eating very healthfully. I used to eat fast food about 4 times a week, and now have cut it down to 1 time or less. I cook my own meals and follow the Weight Watchers plan. I also jog/walk about 3-4 miles almost everyday. I have not lost any weight, and have actually gained a pound. I am really staying on this non-diet well, and have made it a lifestyle change. Why am I not losing any weight?

  1. Adding exercise to your diet regimen is awesome. I believe that by doing this you are toning up muscle tissue while shedding fat. (Fat turning into muscle or muscle turning into fat is a myth.) Muscle weighs more than fatty tissues so by firming your muscles you create more of a dense mass and that mass will weigh heavy. Keep going the more dense the muscles are the more calories you will burn throughout the day, why....because it takes more energy to maintain these newly in shape muscles. You are on the right road...don't freak out over a number on a scale it is just a number. Monitor with the way your clothes fit or by the way you feel. Cut your sugar intake down by half to start with or high fructose type foods, Moderate your carb intake you don't have to get all crazy though. Maybe join a gym or ymca to once-twice a week lift weights. Stop paying much attention to your scale maybe even put it away for awhile and like I said pay more attention to how clothes fit or the way you feel. I do commend you for a hard job well done, getting your life on a healthier track is not an easy task...good job....don't ever quit!

  2. do interval training!

  3. East six small measl throutout the day rather then thee big ones....dont east after 6 pm ,,,,,,,and drink losts of water ....and NO juice or caffine then  exersise with Jack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr...

  4. even though you are eating healthy are your portions equaling what you where eating before or did your portions grow?

if you want to loose weight you have to do more then walk/jog. get into a gym and start lifting and toning. i suggest using p90x if you are serious about loosing weight.

  5. A Guide to Hoodia Cactus Plant Extract

You might have surely heard about 'Hoodia cactus plant extract' by this time as it has been broadcasted by numerous major media sources, like the 'BBC', 'The Today Show', 'CBS' and much more. Because of this, Hoodia Gordonii products have quickly ascended to become one of the fastest growing segments of the 'diet supplement market'.

Before choosing a Hoodia product you should know that there are many kinds of Hoodia plant, but only the Hoodia Gordonii type has an astonishing 'appetite suppressing' quality. These properties have been known about for centuries by a primitive tribe known as the 'Sans Bushmen'. During mid 1990s an institute called the C.S.I.R. 'Council for Scientific and Industrial Research' was conducting a study of native plants eaten by the 'Sans Bushmen'. Basically, the study was to see what foods, the 'Sans Bushmen' were taking that protected the toxic compounds. When the C.S.I.R. studied Hoodia Gordonii, they found it was not only non-toxic, but also it helped to suppress the appetite of animals it used to feed to.

Hoodia Cactus PlantFinally, the C.S.I.R. isolated the active ingredient responsible for the 'appetite suppressing' effects and called it 'P57'. This is the 'Hoodia cactus extract'. They then sold the rights of 'P57' to a British pharmaceutical company called 'Phytopharm'. You may be wondering how it can be there are so many Hoodia products on the market if only 'Phytopharm' has the rights to 'P57'. The answer lies in the patent laws. You know that, only 'Phytopharm' can extract the active molecule called 'P57' from Hoodia Gordonii and use it in their product line. But a whole natural plant - in this case the Hoodia Gordonii plant- cannot be patented. As a result, other companies' can very well produce supplements or products made from Hoodia Gordonii and sell them legally.

The important thing for consumers right now is to make sure that they are buying a product that contains genuine South African Hoodia Gordonii.
