Why can't illegial aliens be arested for being here?

I've heard that they cant be stopped if only reason is that the athorutes think they are here illegally. If thats so, its absurd.

Being here illegally and murdering somebody are 2 completely different crimes. We have gotten to the point where being here illegally has become everyday life for some 20 million people. They are not doing anything wrong besides being here without papers. Most are just here working and spending time with their friends and not bothering anyone. Leave them alone and focus on catching and arresting those murderers.

How do they know who they are? is it the big tattoo on thier forehead that reads "I'm an illegal"? ......LOL Just because that person looks like an illegal (whatever that is), doesn't mean they have a right to stop them.

They can be arrested; however the cost of incarceration and deportation for twenty million illegals surpasses the budget of our local law enforcement agencies. That is why they opt to detain only those people who are caught committing felonies. The policy is to release the petty criminals after writing them a citiation. This way the local governments do not go BK.

We do have probable cause. Should we stop all the legal immigrants just because they might be illegal? No, I don't think so.

It's racial profiling.  Puerto Ricans are hispanic too, but legal, my kids are hispanic, but legal.  Just as police can't pull someone over and put a person in jail just because someone of their race and height/weight robbed a store 3 weeks ago.  People like you are the reason so many innocent people are in jail.  Like the police here in Atlanta who faked a bunch of papers to do a drug raid on a house, and killed the only occupant...a 90 something year old black woman.  And the reason my BIL got his brand new car torn all to h**l on "suspicion of drug running" when he went to Texas to visit my MIL.  By the way...they didn't find anything, because he had nothing.  They just assumed that a hispanic person driving a nice car was impossible, unless he was traffickingarcotics.  You are a racist.

Depends on the state laws since the federal government is failing to do their job. Illegals are routinely arrested here in AZ just for being here.
