  1. check the lid switch (there's a piece on the top that presses a button on the top side  of the washer) that piece may be broken.

  2. Did the washer USED to work in pumping the water out of the tub, and now it DOES NOT?  Does it go through the fill and wash cycle O.K.?  Do you have enough room between the back of the washer and the wall where the drain pipe opening is located to place a large open pan on the floor and, with the washer having water in the tub but NOT RUNNING, BRIEFLY lower the drain hose to the floor to see if the water runs freely out of the hose, and then quickly raise the hose back to the proper level of the drain pipe.

Next, make sure that the drain pipe itself is not plugged. But unless you have an extremely tight fit between the drain hose and the outlet piping, the pressure of the pump of the washer would blow the water out of the drain piping -- IF the pump is working properly.

It sounds like you probably have a problem with the water pump of your washer -- maybe, somehow, something got into the suction side and plugged the pump, or the circuitry for powering the pump is defective.  I DO believe you're going to have to call out a repair person.

  3. Is the pump working? Check it out. It may be a belt or a pump problem.

  4. Any of a number of reasons.

    Could be piping plugged.

    Drain valve is stuck.

Electronics at that point on the dial not working.

    Load is off balance.

See if you can turn dial to the fast wash and if it'll drain there.

May be time to call the repaiman
