Why can't my pc read my 4gb sandisk microSD?

I'm using a 4gb micro sd memory stick in my phone. I can still play music and save pictures in it. I'm just wondering why my computer can't read my card. Whenever I go to My Computer the drive or the whole page freezes. I have a new computer and I have opened it twice before and now I can open it again. what seems to be the problem? any solutions? thanks for the help :)

I suppose you can't read it for the same reason I couldn't read the new HC format on my old flash card reader because it didn't support the format. I got a Kingston FDR-HS219/1 that works fine for me.
