Usually when a disk is scratched the playstation will show an screen that says can't read disk. But the thing about my playstation is that it doesn't even acknowledge the fact that their is a game in their. It says reading disk then nothing happens after that. It doesn't even allow me to access my game. But the weird thing is it only does it with PS2 games. But when I put in a PS1 game it allows me to play it.

I want to know if their are similar problems occuring w/ many PS2 consoles or is it just mine? And also is their a way i can fix my problem?

  1. U might need to clean the system out.

I'll give you the Step-By-Step instructions for that.

As long as you take your time and follow everything correctly. It might help to get your system to read your discs succesfully. I get disc read errors all the time.

  2. you can buy a dvd disk cleaner! it might help! because i dont think the lens is broken or it wouldnt read ps1 games as well! if that doesnt work you can always take it to a shop, see if they can find the problem!

  3. well its happened to mine before
