Question:

Why can't my usb drive boot, when i set it to what am i doing wrong?

I'm trying to use it to boot into Linux, back track 3 but it wont boot when i set it up to, this is what I'm doing i go in to cmd prompt type in L:

for my usb then boot cd then bootinst.bat it tells me that the boot install was complete but when i reset it wont boot up

  1. Change BIOs boot oreder to have USB at top.

    though some PC's cnat boot off USB(and its never a good idea anyway as software on flash drives kill them quick as they make multiple read and writes, USB only has 10000 read n writes)
