  1. because they are too fat

  2. too much heavy air traffic jams on the sky.

  3. I did a report on this. The reason that penguins can not fly is because almost all other birds have hollow wings. And penguins do not which makes them not only heavy but not able to fly.

  4. No, its not because they're too fat. its because they have adapted to being ground-bound birds. however, they CAN fly, in a way. they can "fly" through water. thats why they have flippers for wings. water wings!

  5. check this web site it will explain you everything.

  6. Because they are not birds as such.

  7. Penguins evolved from birds that could fly, but over millions of years their hollow bones became solid and they couldn't lift themselves out of water to fly. It was just easier to dive down into the water. In other words, their body is to heavy to lift with the size of their wings.

  8. I've never seen a bird with an average weight of 66 lbs. fly. Plus they don't have hollow bones like regular birds do. They're basically just giant lumps of fat with big mouths and flat feet.

  9. Penguins can not fly because they have short stubby wings(not suitable for flying) and heavy bodies.

  10. Penguins can't fly because they have evolved to swim in the cold Antarctic waters of the Southern Hemisphere.  The hollow bones and large surface area wings of flying birds would quickly release heat into the water.  The same is true for uninsulated longer legs.

Penguins probably evolved from diving birds that took quick dips in the water, like the pelican or albatross.  The resulting chicks became better divers and worse flyers leading genetically to penguins.

  11. because penguins have so much blubber (fat) to survive in the intense cold of Antarctica that thay are just to heave to fly

not to mention their the complete o posit of aerodynamic so i i think that should clear  up your question!!!!!!!!!

  12. of course penguins can fly.

    underwater.

  13. Penguins can not fly in the air because they are too heavy compared to the area of their wings, and would not have enough strength to fly even if the area of their wings increased.  But they do fly through water.  The method they use to propel themselves in the water is the same as others birds in the air.  Penguins do not swim the way fish, whales and dolphins do.  They use their feet for steering not for pushing the way the others used their tales.

If   you can look at super slow motion videos of birds and penguins flying and then compare it with the motions of fish.  It is very different.

  14. there wing are not aerodynamic and there are a heavy bird like an ostich
