Why can't people just admit that abstinence...?

doesn't work either? It's not 100% . Why do some Christians say that birth control promotes promiscuity?

I don't freaking understand. No matter how much you preach abstinence, some kids are always going to have s*x and some of them will get pregnant. So to reduce teenage pregnancy, shouldn't we at least inform the kids about birth control and other methods of contraception. We should also teach the kids about the consequences of having s*x when you're young and about the risk of getting STDs. Why can't we do both? Why does it always have to be one thing?

I mean if they kids are going to have s*x,we can at least inform them about having safe s*x instead of letting them sleep around get pregnant and have babies when they're not ready and are irresponsible. How is it fair to the babies that are born to teenage parents?

Also, the very people who b*tch and moan about there being a lot of abortions don't even have a solution to reducing them. We can reduce them by teaching young people about birth control. Would you rather have them getting knocked up and getting abortions every time they have an unwanted pregnancy?

I mean this isn't a liberal thing.It's a common sense thing

  1. I was all set to answer your questions, until I came across your trashy talk. I don't respond to such pap. It's not a conservative thing. It's a common decency thing.

  2. I agree, we should teach EVERYONE about "safer s*x" (no s*x is safe, condoms do not protect 100% against STDs or pregnancy), not just teens (some adults forget). That does not mean we can't say, having s*x in your teens is wrong. It is wrong to risk getting pregnant before you are ready, and all s*x can equal pregnancy, no matter how protected you are. Not only the factor of getting pregnant or getting STDs, but, most people are not ready for s*x in their teens, it messes with relationships and people's self esteem. I don't think all will agree, cause not everyone studies human development.

If we stop unwanted pregnancies, through abstinence and safer s*x education, then we will abolish abortion.

Also, along with safe s*x/ abstinence eduction, we need to really get on our teens about drugs and alcohol usage. Teens make bad decisions (or can, not all do) w/o the help of alcohol and other drugs.

Education is the only way that works.

  3. Abstinence works just few abstain.  Whatever we can do to cut down teen pregnancy and teen abortion, this must be done.  STD's and AIDS

are off the chart.  Grown women suffer greatly because of abortions done while they were young.  Abortions even promote breast cancer.  Many women suffer great emotional anguish for aborting a child when they are older.  It carries a great feeling of guilt.

Safe s*x is almost impossible to achieve.  There are too many diseases and abstinence must be the Number One goal to achieve until marriage.

Hollywood could be a help but they promote every kind of s*x on TV and in the movies.  Our children suffer greatly for our evils.  This is a chaotic world and it is becoming worse.  Someone in government must set a standard to save our children.

  4. I agree with Maars,  sometimes you do your best to teach the right way to live and no matter what you say.  Actions lead to consequences.  So many people overlook the spiritual and emotional consequences for their actions. They think that if they use protection there will be no consequences.  There always are.  God designed us to have committed relationships where s*x is a part and not the whole of the relationship nor is it just a casual occurrence.  Stepping outside of the design will lead to some type of destructive consequence.  That's just the way things are.

  5. They say it because they know if they can get kids to deny their natural tendencies and believe in their abstinence b.s. then the hard part is over; those who swallow abstinence-only will be easy to convert to religion, because they'll believe ANYTHING against their better judgment.

"We should be teaching the children the right way even though some will go the wrong way."

Oh, so you are the judge and jury?  It's up to YOU to decide what is "the right way" for every person on this planet?  How fun for you!

  6. In my school they mostly just teach about birth control and condoms. They realize that most of us are having s*x and instead of preaching thought it would be better to just inform. Well, it worked to a degree but 50% of black females in my city have an STD. That's funny because we only had one pregnancy. I live in Washington, DC by the way. What it comes down to is the culture. As a society we have to decide to stop judging people and instead making them realize the real danger, which isn't actually pregnancy but someone much worse like HIV. Hope I helped.

  7. We should be teaching the children the right way even though some will go the wrong way.  There are some who don't want to mess their lives up.

  8. Name one person who contracted a sexually transmitted disease or became pregnant through the practice of abstinence.  (Other than Mary, the mother of Jesus.)

  9. umm safe s*x is already informed (in my school at least). they don't even teach you 1 thing about abstinence. they make it seem like condoms will make u invincible. maybe its different where u live...?

  10. utah only teaches abstinance in it's schools and has the highest percent of teen pregnancy and divorce in the country.

  11. The root of all evil is the love of money. The organization that promotes

safe s*x education earns over $18 million a year from abortions and over $36 million of our tax dollars. They are biased in their programs because if they really presented any real answers they would loose money.

  12. Take care of yourself and leave othersto do the same. In that manner, abstinence is very possible. If not everyone, then YOU did YOUR part.

  13. lets get this straight:

    Abstinence works

The teaching of only abstinence doesn't

Its irresponsible to think that teaching abstinence as the only bc will work.

  14. I won't even bother to read your entire question. Because of the sheer stupidity of your statement that abstinence does not work.

Hello idiot when you don't engage in sexual activity you can not get pregnant. It is just that simple. And you don't get STD's either.

    Hello.

  15. I completely agree with you.

No federal examination of abstinence only programs has shown them to be successful.

So why are we still funding them?

Humans have s*x, usually starting in their teenage years. This behavior is not necessarily a failing of personal morals but hardwired into our genes.

Preventing pregnancy and the spread of sexual disease through contraception should NEVER be considered shameful!

  16. Abstinence does work.  But you have to keep your pants zipped.

  17. SIMPLY "pull out B-4 U come".

    As I said, Simple.
