i'm really just sick of people that think, talk, and act like primates. We are all human we all eat, sleep, and p**p. What does that color of a person's skin have to do with their ability to run a country?

  1. because a lot of the older people in our society grew up that way. take it from me, im 15, no one my generation thinks that way.

  2. Any ENLIGHTENED person can look at his list of accolades and make an informed decision about his leadership ability.

Unfortunately, we're not all enlightened and ignorance, fear, and racism can be a major problem even still in the 21st century.

  3. Because people are not perfect. McCain/Palin 08

  4. Yeah, there's no point.  The redneck people won't vote for him anyway, so why bother them with that stuff?  And the people who want him to win are not concerned with his color.

I guess it is the historical significance that gets the media all excited.

  5. It's not just Obama, When Lewis Hamilton first burst on to the Formula1 scene every single newspaper and tv article emphasised that he was the first black formula 1 driver to have this success. Who gives a d**n what colour a guys skin is. Can he do the job, whether that's President of the US or winning Grand Prix. Peace is a long way off, and will remain so until we can judge a man by what he is not how he looks.

  6. i dont have a problem with him bieng black. but forshits sake, the press doesn't even allow anyone to say his middle name, hussain. its his fcukin name whether he likes it or not. "barack hussain obama" doesn't sound like the name of an american president. d**n muslum is going to let all the fcukin immigrants into the country and bomb us all.

  7. People don't look at him that way.

It's difficult because its some people don't believe in the same things that he does, so then they pull the "If you don't vote for Barack...you're racist!"

  8. He's not a man ...he's a politician. But I see your point, and I tend to agree.

  9. Color has nothing to do with it. It just so happens that most Blacks can not be trusted. If they were Green or Orange it would'nt make any difference. It is the nature of the beast.

  10. The world is a cruel place sometimes, I'm white and I hate it when people label others harshly just because of color it sickens me and makes me feel ashamed to be a human. Life would be so much better if everyone just got over dominance and united.

  11. i agree im white and i hate how people look at other people by their color i personaly think obama wud b a gret president

  12. color is everything...

    obama/biden 08!

  13. um becuz human beings are very visual. he is a black, no it shouldnt matter that is so, except when he has made a point in his life in supporting special interest groups. when this country is about all walks of life coexisting, favoritism is not a wise thing to show.

i admire him a few of his social ideas, except his health plan. i hate his universal health plan! i see him as someone who breaks with extreme groups but doesnt really have a firm direction to go in, and that worries me greatly. i worry cuz he keeps saying hes visited 57 states. i worry becuz he wants to direct a lot of our tax dollars to africa to assist with poverty over there and aids research, but wont even give his relatives who live in poverty a hand when him and his wife bring in 3 million a year.

  14. We all look at people and immediately recognize that they're black, asian, caucasian, etc. It's unreasonable to expect people not to notice something so obvious.

It's how you respond to it that matters.

  15. Will you be one of the many that will say he didn't get to be president because he was black? Whose the racist here? I won't vote for him because of his views. He has socialist ideals, he himself is a racist, and he has no idea on how to handle foreign affairs. (If he wasn't racist why did he attend a "church" for years that was?)

  16. Because people are ignorant... and don't think that everyone who doesn't vote for him is racist, he does have a rather lacking resume for the job, you know.

  17. I agree with you. But just so you know, there are people who look at him a a man and not a color, I am one of them.

  18. Racism is still alive and well.  In this country if you have 1/8 African blood you are considered Black or African American.  The younger generations have to be commended for being less racially biased as those who came before them, but there still are a lot of closet racist.  Still we are closer to Martin Luther Kings dream than we were in the '60 when he made his "I Have A Dream" speech.  Here is a paragraph that explains it a little better.

t's definitely not the father's genes that determine blackness. It goes back to the days of American slavery when white men slept with/raped slaves and impregnated them. To prevent these offspring from claiming freedom as white people or to claiming inheritance from their white fathers or property rights, laws were passed indicating people with a discernible amount of "black" blood were black. So if a person was an 1/8th black and 7/8 white, they would still be considered "black". Although the laws no longer exist, the American social construct still labels people based on this definition. Just look at Tiger Woods;in reality he's predominantly Asian since his father was not fully black but the media from day one has labelled him "black". Barack's situation's no different. He is equally "white" as he "black" but America will NEVER say he's a white man. The USA needs to racialize and cannot shake this habit so it colours everything in its society; keeps the population in their "place".

  19. I do see him as just a man like every other man. I personally think skin color makes as much difference as eye color....and we all know eye color makes no difference at all.

It's just too bad such a limited amount of people think the same way.

  20. wow you sound angry.Calm down there is a lot of us that sees him for what he is.And did we really need to know that obama poops.

  21. Most of us do just that. But when we see him as an extreme leftist who would be terrible for America, people like you blame racism. Millions of people do not like Obama. That is our right. It has nothing to do with his race. Learn to live with it.

  22. I've found that most people don't mention his color too often.  They just see him as a socialist and nothing else.  It's the people that support and defend him who keep bringing up color.

  23. He's not even a black man, he's half white.  Why is the black half considered a larger portion?

  24. Just who is it that you are talking about?  There are people from both sides that see him as Black other than just a candidate.  There is a lot of media and Democratic hype referring to him as the first African-American candidate.  There are those that oppose him for the same reason.

Perhaps one of the reasons that some see him as a Black candidate is that if he were white he would not have won the nomination due to his lack of experience.

EDIT:  Superdiv - I agree with your historical analysis of the situation.  I would like to point out that racism is not just a white problem.  Racism is nothing more than racial or cultural pride taken to the exclusion of other races or cultures.  Reality is that BET and the Black Music Awards are just as racist as if there were a KKK awards.  They are racist because they exclude everyone that is not of the same race.

  25. I do see him as a man but that doesn't stop me from wanting Hilary to win when she was still in the elective or whatever. He won't be good for the society it'll be like another bush.

  26. The color of someones skin has absolutely nothing to do with their ability to run a country, nor does gender. Hopefully in time as we have more people of different races running for president people will get use to seeing it and we can all move past the skin color and just focus on the issues.

  27. 99.9% OF THE BLACK CUMMUNITY IS GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM BEACUSE HE IS BLACK SO DONT MAKE IT SOUND LIKE WE REPUBLICANS ARE RACISTS THE BLACKS ARE THE RACISTSONE THEY HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT HE STANDS FOR BUT YET THERE GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM BECAUSE HE IS BLACK

  28. Because we live in a world full of narrow minded ignorant people!

  29. I completely agree with you!

  30. He presents himself as a black man, focuses on the historical component of his nomination, etc.

Perhaps, asking Obama why he sees himself as a black man and not just a man would be the best way to find out.

  31. I see him as a man, I just do not agree with his politics.  But I do respect him as a man, white, black or purple.
