Question:

Why can't people understand that God is the Universe?

It makes total sense.

Miracles are all the universe controlling itself.

The Universe is Omnipresent, so is God

The Omnipotent, the universal laws control every action, God is omnipotent.

The Universe is Omniscient, it knows about everything, because it is everything. God is Omniscient.

God is the Universe, and everything in it. Or something like the idea that god is the universe, maybe he is the Multiverse, the entirety of all universes. Jesus is the universe, born from God at the Big Bang.

  1. Catholic doctrine says the universe is a "marker" or God's work.

    God is spirit.

    All the best.

  2. Basically, except that there is a difference between controlling, being responsible for every action and omnipotent.

The universe cannot make itself not exist.

Also, to "know" suggests consciousness.  Which I don't know that the universe has.  I guess it may/may not.

  3. That would also make you god, which according to some people, only god can be god. Making the two incompatible, which means your statement doesn't make sense.

  4. Yup...  God is Great ;)

  5. You are the first person who incorporated the Big Bang and Jesus in one statement that did not contradict itself.  Congrats.

  6. no..........He created it....HE IS SPIRITUAL...planets are dirt and matter..

  7. I can accept the notion that Universe = God, but I cannot understand why the Universe cares what people wear and eat and who they sleep with...

  8. Most intelligent logical people understand that god is not the universe. The universe exists but god does not. If you assume god exists, omnipotent, and omniscient, then you can explain anything - but you can't explain his existence - because he doesn't exist.

Do you really understand the so-called Big Bang ? I don't think so. It never happened !

  9. Only in a distorted mind could something be missing. So what's the universe look like to a pure mind?

  10. People don't understand because they have differing beliefs.  Pantheism (for that is what you have described) makes total sense to you.  But not necessarily others.

For myself, I am happy for you to state that the Universe is God, since this is compatible with my view that All is One.  The 'difference' could be explained by terminology.

I do not however agree with the 'conscious Universe' you appear to imply.  I do not think that the Universe 'knows' everything because that suggests that the Universe is 'aware' of everything.  And I'm not convinced of that.

    Interesting Q though.

    .

  11. Because, as usual, you thesistic loons CANNOT pony up ONE shred of objective evidence for your insane factless claims.

No wonder that the last time you held power, we call that The Dark Ages. Never again.

  12. Beware the Underverse! And those pesky Necromongers.

  13. Couple of problems here:

1)Controlling everything does not equate to omnipotence

2)You've anthropomorphised the universe and attributed it with consciousness (knowing must be a function of a conscious entity)

3)Miracles do not exist unless used as a synonym for a beneficial confluence of events

4)If god is the universe, then why bother with the word god at all.  Why not just say it's the universe
