  1. Even if we did have our own which was seperate from wales and scotland, if brown gets his way it will just be a puppet parliment as europe will call all the shots.

  2. Yes, we are overrun by non English free loaders !

  3. We do

  4. How much would that white elephant cost?

The Scottish Parliament building cost an obscene amount to construct and furnish.

We might get free prescriptions out of it, but not a lot more.

It would be yet another cash trough for the greedy fat snouts of the politicians to gorge in.

  5. we do.do you meen we should break up the british parliament well if so then i dont agree.its a way to trade and goven all together.

  6. We may well have one soon if Alex Salmond  gets his way.He has promised the Scottish people a referendum on independence before the next election for the Scottish Parliament. If Scotland dissolve the union there will be no Scottish constituencies represented in the UK Parliament. That will only leave Northern Ireland and Wales and I believe that Northern Ireland will break away within the next twenty years.

  7. I can see where you're coming from as we have Welsh & Irish Assemblies and Scottish Parliament all of whom can vote on issues affecting the country they represent.

Then they go to the GB parliament and vote on issues which will ONLY affect the English.

If we want to stop this the simple answer is members of the assemblies and the SP cannot vote on English issues.

I have long said I would like an English Parliament, which works like this based at Westminster, it would cost very little and allows issues affecting all countries to be represented on GB parliament days/issues.

How right is it that J*m Br**n MP votes yes, for example, on care fees in GB parliament which means those in England pay a means tested care fee but No in his capacity as an MSP so that the Scots he represents don't pay....I see it as grossly unfair.
