Why can't the Mets give Johan Santana any run support

He has pitched lights out his last three games and only has 1 win to show for it. WTFx up with that

They gave him 4 runs yesterday.

He pitched great for 6 1/3 innings.

Once again his BULLPEN let him down.

They blew the save.

It's all the bullpens fault. They need a better bullpen.

I know. Yesterday they gave him more runs than usual, but it wasn't enough. Sad. His record does not reflect how well he has been pitching and now all these people are on Santana's back saying he is not what they hoped for when in reality the bats are not what we hoped for.

Your telling me.  one year kelvin escobar from the angels once lost three games where the final score was 2-0 and one was even 1-0  one time. the angels have the same problem. and even like today where they finally score runs, theyre pitching can't get it done. its frustrating as a fan

lol im a phillies fan but im not gonna trash talk.  I don't know whats going on the mets haven't been hitting for the past few days.  its weird when the mets start doing bad the phillies to good and vice versa

bad luck, inconsistent offense and don't forget that Santana tends to go against the other team #1, 2 when he starts.  If he went against other teams #4 or 5 everytime that he started, he would win 25 games a year but that is baseball in a 162 game season.  All teams, players, pitchers go through streaks that sometime that they have no control of.

Run support was fine.  Seems Wagner's got Johan-itis this year.  Wagner just can't seem to close Johan's games.  Every once in a while there's a year where most of the saves a closer blows are for one starter.

It is not no run support

It is because of a horrible bullpen
