Why can't the weather girl on the BBC put in a full week?

no doubt we'll find out next week that the BBC have paid for her to go gallivanting off somewhere across the country.

i actually cannot understand why  most of the presenters go gallivanting off on expensive tours of the country. After all why was it necessary to send off any TV presenter like Adrian Chiles, Huw Edwards to the Olympics, and others, then you see the weather girls being dumped into places that are under siege from the weather, i mean its not as though they can tell us any more than we can see already. My biggest bugbear is celebs who front up nature programmes, often costing thousands, and i can't see their knowledge of the animal kingdom or wildlife really illuminating. I watched a 10 second snippet of an actress who appeared once in Emmerdale and she was presenting a programme, and i can honestly say that i felt like throwing something at her and the screen. anyone who says that you can see the view better from the sky, rather than the air, needs to get back to the soaps.

Maybe because the BBC don't want her there every day, there must be other stuff that people like to watch,

They often appear in different places on the network for example on BBC 1 and radio 4 on the same day or alternate days

Presenting the weather is only one of the things that she has to do. She is under a blanket contract for a certain salary each year and this covers  a set number of hours or days to be worked. If she was only doing the weather then she would be a costly body. She is probably fitting in recording work on other programmes which take up a lot of her time.

Do you miss her so much when she is not there.

the longer the weather programme predicts about the weather, it gets less accurate.
