The government are bloody hypocrites, they make so many billions of pounds through tax on cigarettes!Surely, in a democracy we should be allowed to choose, also if you dont want to work in a smoking place then don,t!

  1. It's called Nanny-state. The dutch have a better idea.

  2. You raise a good idea/point BUT

I reckon if that happened then a lot of pubs would go bust as the non-smoking ones would be virtually empty!

  3. because then the government wouldnt be able to rip people off by giving them instant fines!

  4. I totally agree its all absurd

  5. Yup, good point. I mean, not *all* restaurants are, say, vegetarian are they? Anyway, I guess it's the "new, new, trendy" style nowadays...

  6. no one wants to be sitting and having dinner with nasty *** smoke everywhere

  7. When we lived in Spain they brought the ban in,all cafes and bars were give the choice as to wether they would be smoking or not,if they were of a certain square meteradge they could have half and half. The two bars we used the most one went non smoking even thought the both the owners smoked and the other went for smoking and they didn`t smoke, the non smoker lost at least half their trade and I know they have now ceased trading,(not all due to the smoking ban though)

It shaould be left to the discretion of the management and notices on the doors.

  8. If a smoker works in a smoky environment then they could still claim that the passive smoking led to their illness.

But I agree with you regarding the taxes on tobacco.

  9. i agree totally.they can regulate public places to protect the staff as well as customers.i live in Canada.businesses spent thousands on air venting and closing areas for smokers because of the government then within a decade all that money was lost when smoking was banned.

i really dint know why we cant do more about controlling the way the government con trolls us.

  10. Aaah shut up and go and have a f*g, or some nicorette.

  11. you will do as you are told that is what it's coming to.

As for the tax they will get that elsewhere that is a dead cert

  12. We don't live in a democracy! Whatever gave you that idea. i think all as smokers should get together and go to London and stand all around the houses of Parliament and smoke the buggers out.

  13. cos the uk has gone mad!! the gov would  freak if we all quit

  14. Its not very nice for us non smokers, going out, coming back stinking of ciggys!!!!! going out for a meal and cant enjoy it because somebody has lit up! and especilly taking my toddler out for a meal or in a public place!

Im glad the smoking ban is here!!

the question should be the other way round! why should we allow smokers to pollute our lungs, you wanna smoke, get outside and have one!

  15. SMOKING IS BAD EVEN SECOND HANDSMOKE

  16. you have a very good point there and all i can say is that the government is a bloody no good democracy one

  17. A bit late for these type of objections,  lets see if the next one is when we can make love, or f**t,or even better drink!!!!

  18. I have answered a question like this before , but i'll warn you to , stop being sensible you'll get a violation.

  19. because somking is disgusting, if you chose to smoke then that is down to you, people who chose not to should not have to put up with you manky second hand smoke all over them. the government will get thier tax other ways they always do, think of the money you would save if you didnt smoke, you would also smell nicer, look nicer and you wouldnt be killing yourself that bit quicker.
