Why can't they broadcast all Nascar races on Fox?

I am disabled and cannot afford cable, etc. I have 2 more races I can watch on the weekend then the rest are broadcast on other channels I cannot get. Really sucks!

I hear you there. And it makes me feel sad that there are loyal fans who have to miss what is really enjoyable in life. I hope somehow you get to see more races. And when you do, please come back here and give us your perspective on the races.

money, ratings, capitalism, the free market.  i understand that you couldn't see the allstar race as it was on speed, but you will be able to watch at least the chase races (plus the richmond race) on abc starting september 6th.  plus, there will be two nationwide races broadcast on abc as well - the camping world 200 at loudon on june 28th, and the zippo 200 at watkins glen on august 9th.

i know it's not the same, but nascar.com does offer trackpass at a reduced rate around mid-season, and there are websites that allow you to track the race in progress - usually textually.  and then there's MRN (sirius) and PRN (http://www.goprn.com/) radio. and there's always sports bars i guess.

did anyone else notice that there seems to be no tv coverage lined up for the nns memphis 250 on october 25th?

The coverage of these races are being sold to the highest bidder. The days of having the whole season on one channel are over. It's sad, but again Nascar doesn't care about the fans, they only care about the bucks$$$.

I see certain races going to pay per view before long and we will all be paying $50.00 to watch a race on TV or they will come up with one of those package deals like they have in other sports!

I don't know why but I agree.  My buddies in North Carolina couldn't watch last night's All Star race from Charlotte because they don't get Speed channel.  Yeah, sucks.

Charlotte motor speedway has always insisted on doing their own negotiations with media outlets. For many years they used their own radio people instead of MRN. Now they are doing the same with TV.

i dont have cable either  ,  i justlisten to it on the radio they call a better race and the added bonus is they dont seem to talk about kyle busch all the time

No cable here either but I like the radio playcalling best anyway. If it's on regular tv I'll watch without sound,listen to the radio and check lap times on the internet. Actually I watched the lap times last season and it was really cool! Then the format or programming got jacked up on nascar.com so I don't do that anymore but it was fun while it lasted. I'd watch truck racing on tv too if I could.
