Why can't we be forgiven for simple mistakes?

I mean if you love someone, and it's one mistake, shouldn't we learn from it and be able to get past it?

  1. Some people are easy to forgive, others hold on forever!

    But hanging onto it only hurts yourself....just my thoughts


  2. Because they feel betrayed, and they think if you really loved them, then you would have never made that mistake.  But everyone makes mistakes. If we didn't then we wouldn't be human, and we would never learn from them and grow stronger.  I believe in second chances.

  3. yes you should but they never loved us anyway.

  4. Many factors come into play. The size of this mistake. Will it blossom into bigger mistakes? Is their a pattern of mistakes? Are you prone to making them? Is your focus where it should be? Everyone has a different tolerance of mistakes,

  6. I agree....I did one stupid thing, and that altered his whole view of me...I guess the good ones will be the ones willing to forgive and get past it.
