Why can't we do this to stop global warming?

Well first see we get rid of all the blue collar jobs because they are the main culprit - factories, coal mines, etc....... This way, these people will be forced to get an education to make their dough. THEN you see we will have both a smarter populace and less pollution, causing the temp to go down and the ice bergs will eventually re freeze.

  1. Because the idea is idiotic.

  2. I think you need to think this through a bit.

We couldn't just get rid of the blue collar jobs.  They manufacture everything that society needs to function!  With no manufacturing, society collapses.  We would all live in poverty no matter how highly educated we were!

The answer is to find alternatives to fossil fuels.  We can have as much energy as we want, so long as it's green energy!

    Roll on nuclear fusion!

  3. the main culprit isn't the JOB itself.

ok, first off, we would need to stop burning fossil fuels.  Take the companies that burn coal and make them all use WIND POWER, but sammy bees, its not that easy because that would cost a c**p load of money that the owners do NOT want to spend.

Also, take all car manufacturers and make a limit, say by 2020 all cars produced will nto rely on gasoline anymore.  but again, you would have to get all the owners of gas companies/car manufacturers to do this, which isn't happening.

and 3. you have to get rid of the guy who runs the USA because he doesn't give 2 sh*ts about it

you can't force people to quit there jobs and get them an education

  4. One if you get rid of those jobs how do you heat houses and make electricity... Also if everybody was "forced to make their dough" all the jobs would be taken putting millions out on the street because they wouldn't have any money because they have no job!

  5. I really don't think it is that simple.

Call me stupid but.......what jobs are all of these people going to do?? They can't all become doctors, lawyers, teachers, and other white collar sector employees - there just aren't enough positions for them all.  And simply closing down all the mines and factories will have one major problem - we won't have any energy to power our homes (and the places of business in which all of these newly educated ex blue collar workers would be working in) and they also won't have any clothes to wear if you close all the factories.

It is far more sensible to, over as short a period of time as possible, move over onto green energy and get all factories and businesses operating off this.

As for forcing everyone to do a white collar job - not everyone wants to. It would be rather dictatorial to force people into a profession they do not like. My partner does a blue collar job and really enjoys his work, he would die being stuck inside working in an office and having to wear a suit everyday.  If everyone was highly educated society would fall apart. Who would do the jobs like rubbish collection, cleaning public spaces, road and public transport maintenance etc etc.  In a society where some are more educated than others people simply fall into vocations they are qualified to do and their is work for everyone and everything that needs doing get done (pretty much anyway). If everyone had a degree, and a masters and a phd, who exactly would want to ride the street sweeper for a living? or drive a bus?

I'm hoping your question was a joke and not a serious suggestion. if it was serious I recommend reading up on climate change.

  6. The main problem is that we are constantly looking for answers that will allow us to continue living the way we do,which is: unjustafiable, luxurously and harmfull for the enviroment.

The solution offered wouild not work, because it does not fight the core problem, it fights the already devastating outcome.

What we need to do is drastically change our way of living. Drive way,way way less with cars, take holidays in our own country, buy locally produced  food and use less energy. The gouvernments are not the evil ones, they only do what the majority of people want. If the majority starts living responsibly, the gouvernments will follow suit.

People are the cause, their actions are the cause. Don't blame it on the refrigerator. WE choose to use it.

  7. why stop all of the technology when we improved so much? We've gone a long ways and that would be a huge waist of studying and hard working! plus the density of the gas is different so there's no need to worry for it to stay in the air we breathe

i don't want to do that cuz whut i believe is the exact opposite of you

  8. I say let it warm up. Last winter lasted forever. Seems like the climatologists that say we have entered a period of global cooling may be right.
