I recently went on vacation to London and found out everyone there is drinking beer in the streets! No brown bag, nothing, it's perfectly legal. Jolly ol England. Why can't we do this in the states?

  1. cause this is the land of freedom!! no wait... nevermind.

  2. That would be nice. If only we could be free...

  3. Have you been to a ball park lately?

  4. Oh I wish we could too!!! I hear you can do that in other countries....just not here....

  5. You can in New Orleans, only no bottles.

  6. In Texas, you can in certain areas.  Like if you go to Six Flags and they serve beer, you can.  Usually just at festivals and trade shows.  They do NOT however sell it in a can.  You get a plastic 'icky' cup for your beer.

Texas just recently changed the laws making it illegal to carry open container for anyone in the car.  You can still carry loaded guns on the first day of hunting season, tho.

  7. 1. London just passed a law preventing it... at least in the tube system.

    2. Not all states have laws against it. Take Nevada for example... I think the state billboard as you're driving in says "No Open Container Law!"

I remember my trip to Vegas... I'm not much of a gambler... so I drank my way up one side of the strip and back down the other... i didn't go more than 10 minutes without a beer in my hand... even while walking between casinos.
