  1. Can't convert diapers to mechanical work.

update: ...in a way that would be practical for cars

  2. I guess that's an interesting idea but how will people without babies run their cars?

  3. because we are not supposed to be driving cars....the next question is...how can we use dirty diapers to get people to get out and use the energy in their own bodies to get from point a to point b?....then, on top of that....how can we get people to stop using disposable paper/plastic diapers?

  4. If it was possible to harness the bio-gas from all the dirty diapers everyday that would be a real cool source of power! Well, maybe not that cool, more on stinky but hey you've got a good idea there!

  5. please the last thing we need is an excuse to have more babies.

Overpopulation is at the root of all the world problems.

  6. Sounds like you have a little one!  Actually there are cars that have been converted to run on the contents of that diaper.  And it would be much better for global warming.  CH4 (methane) is 23 times as bad a greenhouse gas as CO2 is, and the car in your driveway can run on it just fine.  However, ironically, the petroleum based diaper itself is out of the question.

I think you'll enjoy this video, and it might save you a small fortune!

    Cute baby!

  7. i think smudge wins.

but it's because, although you can burn diapers, there is not sufficient energy per unit of volume, nor is it in a form that can be used by an internal combustion engine.

oil, and gasoline, really is "magical" stuff.

it won't be long before that fact becomes painfully apparent to most people.

you know, when we've burned most of it, and no longer have any for all of the other functions that it can perform.

  8. Can you think of a converter than can turn dirty diapers into fuel?!? If you invent one, you will become a billionaire!

  9. because... we just can't. lol

  10. Mostly because of air pollution regulations.  :-)

  11. You could do it....

There are problems involved, though, mainly relating to the supply of diapers, compared to their demand, should a technology such as this exist.

Animal refuse is already used to generate 'biogas' (methane and carbon-di-oxide) in many countries, but that requires lots of animal refuse to power a single tractor (or generator, pump, whatever).

It is not possible to implement on a commercial scale, not with superior alternative fuels available.

  12. because we already drive like s**t

  13. I like that idea. Not only are there more babies now than during the baby boom after WWII but the baby boomers themselves are getting old now and soon they will be in diapers themselves and can continue to contribute to society.

Maybe we can have home methane generators that run on p**p.

  14. Because they'd clog the varburetors.

  15. Tried it, could only get 8 babies under the hood on treadmills and still couldn't get up hills even using an electric cattle prod.

  16. The are trying to do that. The fuel is called cellulosic ethonol.

  17. ..  LOL, Would  you imagine the smell coming out of a car using dirty diapers ?! eww!

  18. For the same reason we can't make them run on White Trash.

  19. That would be nice
