We see lightning why can't we see Thunder we only hear it.

  1. i bet if you ate up some acid you'd see thunder.


  2. We see lightning because it's made up electromagnetic waves. But Thunder is only made up of sounds waves, which are nothing but a disturbance in the molecules of the atmosphere, so you can't see the movement of the molecules, but you can hear the sound.

  3. Lightning creates a vacuum and the thunder is the air rushing in to fill that space.
