Why can't you ever sue for blond discrimination?

It has cost me several good jobs and many employment opportunities. Because I'm blond they don't take me seriously I even tried to dye and style my hair to something that looked professional. In stead the dye didn't take and the hair style ended up looking cute and cute is a death sentence if you are trying to get a serious job. It's hard enough just trying to get job and throw in the blond factor you can almost forget it. So why can't a person ever sue for blond discrimination?

  1. You can, and it has been done.

However, it probably has nothing to do with the fact that you have blond hair. Take a GOOD look at your appearance. Looking "cute" is NOT the same as looking "Professional." Try wearing long pants or ankle-length skirts, and NO SHORT SLEEVES. Don't wear heels higher than 1.5 inches. Stick to Navy Blue, Black, and Dark Grey. Keep jewelry and makeup at a minumum. LOSE THE MANICURE!!! No one will take you seriously if you have long painted nails. Cut them, and trim them neatly. Only CLEAR nail polish. Also, LOSE THE PERFUME. Of course, you should wear deodorant, but NO perfume or body sprays. Do NOT wear anything low cut. NO CLEAVAGE AT ANY TIME! Wear a flesh colored bra.

When you have an interview, use ONLY a blue or black pen. Never use a pencil unless asked to use one. Never fill out an application with anything but blue or black ink, and use the same ink throughout the application. ALWAYS present a resume with your application. Take a copy of your resume to your interview.

I have spent several years in Human Resources and the above covers the biggest mistakes that women make.

  2. You aren't serious, are you?  How can you even try to claim that blond hair cost you a job.  This is the most asinine thing I've ever heard.  Of course the 2nd asinine thing is that you can't get a professional hairstyle.  Have you tried getting your hair cuts at somewhere other than Super Cuts and holding an intelligent conversation during your interviews?  Please.

  3. You can sue anybody, for anything.  Can you win?

  4. Hey, at least you aren't black.

  5. Because it would be nigh impossible to prove. Unless every other employee at the company is not blond. Did you ever consider that maybe it's just you? Obviously I don't know you, but "several good jobs", just because you're blond? Unlikely.

  6. is it blond discrimination or brunette oppression

or is it lust and beauty ?

sexual harrasment is a legal crime

but favoritism is also a human failing,

some of your circumstances might be that you lost a job because your employer thought someone else does a better job,  this is true.

there might be an inferiority complex, (i hope not)

sometimes the problems of oppression or rejection are non existent except to the paranoid, (not saying you are)

and you can sue for discrimination! if you can prove it.

  7. waste of time.

  8. For one, for you to think that since you are blond that is why you are not getting any "serious" jobs, should speak for itself (I.e. meaning YOU really think that since you are blond, that is why you are not hired!!!).

More than likely, it is your grammar, sentence structure (Just look how you typed), resume, education, etc.

So, no, you cannot sue for it!
