Question:

Why can I do a backbend on my trampoline, but not inside on a rug or mat or something?

I FINALLY learned how to do a backbend, but for some reason I can only do it on my trampoline. When I try to do it indoors, it's like my body just won't let me do it! Why not? Can anyone help?

  1. It may have something to do with the fact that your feet tilt forwards slightly on the trampoline, thus making it so your back doesn't have to bend so far backwards.

  2. it's becasue you're scared. you have to look all the way back, not up when yuo are doing it. try and pay attention to where your head is looking while doing it on the trampoline and then try and mimic it inside. maybe put a couple pillows down to ease the tension because your hands will touch down faster on a trampoline then on the ground.

  3. because you get higher off the ground when you bounce

  4. Maybe you're subconsciously more afraid to do it indoors because it would be less of a soft/bouncy surface if you fell?

I used to do flips and stuff on my friends trampoline but I sprained my wrist and almost broke my neck once and now I'm terrified of doing anything that might involve falling on my head.
