Why can I not now unsubscribe from some Yahoo Groups?

I send off the 'unsubscribe' email, and reply to the answer, but nothing then happens. I do not get the usual 'You have been unsubscribed'. Help, please.

You can make sure that you have been unsubscribed from the group.  Go to the group's site and attempt to sign in. If you cannot sign in, you have been unsubscribed.   If you still can sign in, you have not been unsubscribed.  While you are signed in to the group, click on "Edit Membership" at top of page.  Scroll down to bottom of page and click on Leave Group button.  You will be asked if you are sure you want to leave the group.  Click on "Leave Group".

You will be instantly unsubscribed from the group at that point.  

You will continue to receive any messages that still remain in the Yahoo email server until all of those are sent out. Then you will not receive any more from the group.
