Why can I pick up My cordless phone on my scanner?

I have a 2.4 Ghz cordless phone but yet I can hear it clearly when I tune my scanner on around 462Mhz Why is this?

you are getting an image. it is mixing with somthing else and the result falls into the uhf band.
