  1. cuz his name    and  vickers got screwed

  2. It was great to see one of my Chevrolet drivers win. Jr was just taking advantage of every opportunity to save gas. He stopped when warned by Nascar. Name an instance when anyone was penalized for passing the pace car.

I would think everyone would want their driver to try as hard as possible and use everything they had to their advantage.

By the way how many accounts do you have?  Give me 4 thumbs down in 2 minutes too.

  3. in 20 plus years of being a NASCAR fan i've never once seen anyone penalized for passing the pace car under caution. he was warned about it, and he complied with the warning, it gave him no competative advantage, so get over it. how do those tears taste? are they salty?

  4. This dog has been beaten to death. Let it go. Jr got warned and he stopped, Nascar would do the same for any driver. They warn drivers on stuff like that before they black flag them. So quit hating and get used to the fact that Jr. won.

  5. first of all jeff is the golden boy... and they almost always give a warning he was given a warning and then he fixed the problem

  6. As they used to say, if you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'.

  7. The race was a farce, from the empty grand stands to the Kenseth and race official pit road incident, to the very end of the race.  Perhaps letting Jr. win would put more people in the stands, but I feel as though Vickers and several others were cheated out of a win.  Strategy is great in racing, but Jr's blatant cheating, as well as Mark Martin placement at the restart and him pushing Kahne at the end is just ridiculous.

  8. Sorry man, you're dead wrong. I'll back the smart folks here like Beth, T-Bone (Lose the hair dude), David G., and Co....

The purpose for the rule is so the car in front does not jump the gun and lap the field at re-start. Junior bumped around up there, they told him to stop and he did. Nobody else in recorded history has ever had a win taken away over it. The only people disputing it are the drivers who ran close but lost (sour grapes) and a few disgruntled fans who don't know what they're talking about (more sour grapes).

I give Kenseth credit. He says NASCAR has a few of it's own "ball and strike" calls and that's just the way it goes.

  9. You're about a day too late and your just wasting points.  Jr won...deal with it.

  10. Remember his last name?

  11. his name is earnheart

  12. You've got to be kidding ! Earnhardt Sr used to drive up on the rear end of the pace car and push it when Buddy Baker was driving it, just to name one.

Vickers was definitely scr*w*d by NASCAR, here is another classic example of sticking a microphone in a drivers face seconds after getting out of the car. Btrian restrained himself. Trust me-if it was Tony Stewart, Robby Gordon (who was robbed on the CA road course), or Earnhardt Sr, we would have heard in no uncertain terms about it.

  13. In NASCAR, a "pass" is not officially scored until the Start/Finish line. NASCAR has always shown a little leeway as before a penalty can be assessed on passing under yellow, cars must cross the Start/Finish line out of order.

If you've watched NASCAR very long at all you know that under green a car can pass the leader completely, be in front the whole lap, but if the leader can get back around coming to the line, the "passer" will not be credited with a pass or for leading any of the lap. Just as under green, passes are scored under caution at the line.

This is as simple as it gets people. "Passes" are scored at the line and no where else.

John Darby states the no passing pace car under yellow rule is in place to prevent cars from intending to gain a lap.

Ironically, NASCAR breaks its own rule intentionally to give the Lucky Dog a lap back as the LD is required to pass the pace car and go round to pick up the back of the pack to get on the same lap.

NASCAR has stated that no penalty was assessed to the 88 car because he did not "intend" to gain a lap, did not gain a lap and gained no spots, therefore he didn't break the rule.

NASCAR did ask the 88 car to stop taking advantage of the rule after he did it a couple of times or so but I can only gather from the rule and the criteria for penalties, they did so only because they thought some nimrods might try to accuse him of "passing" the pace car.

Who can blame them, because some of the drivers don't even understand the nuances of the rule.

The way the rule is enforced is simple. Be in position at the Start/Finish line or you will be penalized, once, regardless of how many times you may have drifted ahead of the pace car during the lap.

Junior merely used the rule, he didn't break it, as the rule currently stands.

  14. Yeah whatever your just mad he won.. Remember Biffle in Kansas? they still gave it to him, it is NOT just Junior! They warned him, I was there, listening to the radio. After passing it 2 times, Tony Jr told him to stop because NASCAR was b*tching about it, AND THEN HE STOPPED. he admitted he pushed it a little and got greedy but he stopped when they told him to stop!

  15. quit hatin'.

now this is passing the pace car.

  16. Lets not sugar coat the situation fluffy.  We all know it was a "J".

    Ya mon....

  17. Well I guess since little JR. won on Daddys day, we should just go ahead and coronate him the next king of NASCAR.Step aside Richard Petty.....Oh wait NASCAR already did that.Whats next Kyle Petty winning again????

  18. the dude driving the pace car dropped his cigarette and when he reached down to pick it up his foot came off the accelerator and the pace car actually slowed down. Junior kept his speed and waited for the driver of the pace car to wipe the ashes off his pants and lead again.

  19. So Junior won his first race in two years, you'd figure with all the coverage he is getting today that he were just elected president or actually won a title or something...give me a break, he won A race...under caution...big freakin deal.

  20. Does anyone on here actually know how many times a year a driver wins on fuel mileage? Been at least three so far and a few have lost it on fuel mileage too. He was warned about it as well and it was even mentioned more than once. Tony did this same thing too. Tony Jr made a good call and Jr did what he had to to win like drivers have done before again and again. Only this time it was jr doing it so all you haters have something to complain about. It is still a win! BTW! was that a budwieser can in the back stretch that brought out a caution late? Who threw that one, and they had to have one ell of an arm since there were no grandstands close by. Ya know jr jad to be in the position to be able to take advantage of the fuel milage and alsmost lost anyway so give it a rest. HE WON!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Who was the last one to get penalized ? I don't remember anyone ever being penalized for that . I have been into Nascar since 1968 and remember cars hitting the pace car  and not getting penalized !Congratulations Dale Earnhardt Jr

    Edit : NICE HAIR T-BONE !!!!!!

  22. well.......the pace car WAS leading......rotflmao!!!!!

  23. I'm sorry - I did have a good answer for you.  Then I saw Tbone's hair color and now I'm too nauseated to answer.
