I live in Kentucky and their father lives in Tennessee. The child support office in Tenn. says that they can't talk to me because they don't work for me because I don't live in Tenn. The Kentucky child support agency says that they don't have the case but that the payments just get forwarded to them. I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. In the mean time their father still receives his tax refund yearly. Please let me know what I can say or possibly do, if anything!

  1. Get to KY child support and ask them what to do, tell them the hardship your child in their state is facing because of not getting child support;

    Do you have a valid order in TN?

    There is a way to do this, and you need to keep going with these people, pushing with these people until they tell you how to do it. . . .talk to several, talk to supervisor, keep talking

    there's a reciprocal enforcement of child support orders between your states and they are supposed to help you out. . . .keep pushing them, asking them. . . .go to Legal Aid. . .

  2. Let me give you a hint about those you are speaking with at the child support agency.  They are not trained very well, I know I have dealt with them in OHIO.  Next time ask for their supervisor nicely.  Explain to the supervisor your problem if you get no real answer keep going up till you find the right person.
