Isn't this just like investing short term? That equity or option or what have you is flying around you all the time. How would you know when to swat at it and make contact?

  1. I don't know about your hand-eye co-ordination, but I hit a fly when I try.

The important thing is lining yourself up, planning, doing your research on which direction it's going to go, and having the right tools to get the job done. The same thing goes for investments whether you are doing it in the long-term or short-term.

  2. This definitely has mostly to do with skill. Swatting the fly would require good hand eye coordination and good timing. Although, there might be just a little luck involved, as well. Some people are better at hitting home runs, than others, which is a much more difficult version of swatting a fly. The fly swat is mostly about skill and perseverance, with a tiny bit of luck. The luck part has to do with the fact that you don't have control over the fly or baseball. Skill will cause for you to better respond to the elements that you have less control over.

  3. Are you Investing in a fly batting cage? Its luck, for every time you swing at one, you'll miss 95% of the time, try it.

    I agree with   A NOBODY

  4. Skahhh  for the past several days I have seen some real off the wall questions that you have posted.

They are an indication that you have done little reading into the industry, nor that you are approaching investing/trading in a logical manner.

Here are some books that you could read in order to provide you with some indications about the market and some of the pros that are out there,

There are some of us out here who genuinely are trying to help those that really want to learn about the industry or are seeking help and direction.  But we don't like the imature games that some are trying to play and which serve no useful purpose either in the business or the academic world

  5. No. If the fly is into S and M, he will sometimes hold completely still. Then--you've got him!
