Even when i'm logged out of my yahoo account, I can see the posts from our group! It is a closed message board for a dance company so why can everyone see our messages? See for yourself ... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/avlaerialists/

  1. It's because of the Group settings that the founder set when he/she created the Group.  You can only fix this if you are an owner or a moderator with the appropriate privileges; ordinary members can't fix it.

To change this setting, the owner or moderator needs to log in to the Group web site, then click Management on the left-hand side of the page.  Then click on Messages in the Group Settings section (towards the upper-right-hand corner).  Then click the Edit link next to Posting And Archives.  Then, under Archive Options, change the selection from Anyone to Members.  Don't forget to click the Save Changes button when you're done.

  2. maanagement- under group settings click messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- scroll to archive options and select/ check members- click save changes
