  1. What is happening when somebody tries to call you?   Do they hear ring tone but your phones don't ring?   Does it ring briefly then stop?   Do they get a busy signal?    More info, please.

  2. is this happening on all of your phones? check all of them...if its still happening, call the phone company

  3. 1- confirm call forward is not activated, dial 73# (or *73)

2- dial 1-866-my-ani-is and make sure it is your number being read back to you

3- if your phone rings 1 or 2 times then gets cut off, or goes static when someone is calling then it is most likely a defective phone or other equiptment connected to your phone line (satellite, alarm, fax, modem) unplug everything and dial into your number, test by calling your line, and plug one thing back at a time... if when you have everything disconnected and the incomming calls still act in the same way, check that none of the jacks got wet or have water damage, then call your local telephone provider... if it is not any of the equiptment in your home, and #1 and #2 are as they should be, then your line is likely on a fiber (litespan) pair outside, and the line card is defective.. call your provider to have them complete the repairs..
