you might can try clearing your cookies in ur internet explorer, sometimes that has to do with it, and if you're not familiar with that, u can click tools up top on your toolbar, internet options, then delete under browser history and that should come up cookies, history and everythingelse u will delete the cookies from there.  Also you probably have a pop-up blocker installed, and it's not allowing yahoo to open, you try to add yahoo as acceptable website on the pop-up blocker or just turn it off when using ur email.
