Why can i only see my videos in quick time player???

Question

i have an kodak easy share digital camera and when i upload my videos to my computer, they only way to see them is tru the kodak easy share program and apple quick time player. why???? i cant open them up in windows media player or the move maker so i can burn them! they are in .mov format how do i chage that? someone help please? and in what program can i use them so i can burn them in to a dvd!
